About The Position

Parkside Financial Bank and Trust is offering a paid, real-world internship experience designed to provide students with hands-on experience in different departments within the company. This isn't a typical internship; interns will gain knowledge and practical applications beneficial for their studies and future careers. Parkside Financial Bank & Trust, founded in 2007, focuses on personal, insightful, and responsive business banking and wealth management. They are an independent partner for families and businesses, offering banking, commercial lending, trust, and family office services. With a presence from St. Louis to Denver to Bedford, they have grown to $1 billion in Bank assets and approximately $3.9 billion in Trust & Family Office assets under management. They have been recognized as a Top Workplace in St. Louis for six consecutive years. The IT Internship is a 10-week program, approximately 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday. Interns will work in the Information Technology Department, with exposure to other departments and leadership. The program aims to build industry & IT knowledge, develop business acumen, and strengthen collaboration and time management skills through hands-on experience. Interns will contribute to the Parkside Intern Blog and complete a final capstone project.

Requirements

Completed sophomore year of college before the start of the internship
Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Technology or related IT field
Strong desire to learn new technologies and solve problems in a banking environment
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to adhere to Parkside’s core values
Must be at least 18 years old
