About The Position

Parkside Financial Bank and Trust is offering a paid, real-world internship experience that goes beyond typical intern duties. This program is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in various departments within the company, equipping them with knowledge and practical applications beneficial for their studies and future career paths. The IT Internship is a 10-week program, approximately 28 hours per week, running Monday through Thursday. Interns will work within the Parkside Information Technology Department, gaining exposure to other departments and leadership. The program focuses on building industry and IT knowledge, developing business acumen, and strengthening collaboration and time management skills through practical experience. Interns will contribute to the Parkside Intern Blog and complete a final capstone project.

Requirements

• Completed sophomore year of college before the start of the internship.
• Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Technology or related IT field.
• Strong desire to learn new technologies and solve problems in a banking environment.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adhere to Parkside’s core values.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities
