Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, Marketing, or related fields required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to professionally represent the College in public settings.
  • Ability to schedule flexible office hours and travel as required.
  • Effective computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in recruiting, sales or other related fields preferred.
  • Bilingual, ability to read, write and speak Spanish preferred (but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Generate enrollment for all College programs.
  • Conduct educational advising.
  • Participate in recruiting activities and strive to meet enrollment projections.
  • Recruit in designated areas within the assigned territory.
  • Establish relationships with high school guidance counselors and teachers.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the College’s recruiting and enrollment events.
  • Assist with the promotion of recruiting events and activities.
  • Travel as required to meet, coordinate, and recruit with schools in the assigned recruiting area.
  • Attend fairs and open house events as required.
  • Conduct individual and group career/admissions interviews.
  • Develop, implement, and assist with various types of workshops, seminars, and open houses.
  • Prepare and disseminate weekly progress reports.
  • Serve as liaison between the College, potential students, high school counselors, and business and industry points of contact.
  • Identify new and/or changing markets.
  • Provide feedback pertaining to educational and extracurricular needs of Lackawanna College students.
  • Assist in attrition reduction activities such as Retention Intervention.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to high school seniors/underclassmen.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of high school presentations that focus on acquiring high school senior inquiries for programs offered at the campus.
  • Answer assigned inquiry calls from prospective students.
  • Schedule prospective students for campus appointments.
  • Follow up on all inquiries who fail to schedule or show for an appointment.
  • Make specific amounts of outgoing calls per day as determined by the supervisor.
  • Proactively converse with or interview prospective students to gain a clear understanding of their needs and goals; advise accordingly.
  • Include parent(s) and support committee in the interview process as needed.
  • Review Financial Aid Cost Calculation with prospective students prior to financial aid introduction.
  • Introduce prospective students (and family when applicable) to the financial aid officer and assist financial aid to ensure that the FAFSA and financial aid is complete.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
