• Enable experts to connect with customers in real-time, provide intelligent insights, and optimize supply and demand in the marketplace
• Drive acquisition, activation, and retention of consumers, experts, and partners
• Work with the Data Team to understand users and build meaningful machine learning solutions for a customized experience
• Make experts successful to provide an amazing customer experience
• Collaborate with a small, tightly-knit team of innovators, creators, and builders
• Foster a high trust culture with minimal red tape and assume teammates are well-intentioned and chasing high-impact challenges
• Conduct transparent and timely communication throughout the interview process
• Participate in recruiter screens, hiring manager interviews, coding screens, technical interviews, and stakeholder interviews
• Demonstrate knowledge of e-commerce, gig-economy companies, and marketplaces
• Discuss past projects that demonstrate skills, expertise, and delivering impressive products or features
• Share thought process in problem-solving, goal-setting, and decision-making

• Experience in writing elegant, scale-friendly code to solve real business challenges
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Java, Elastic Search, and MongoDB
• Familiarity with Docker and open-source software
• Strong understanding of full-stack development
• Ability to work on interesting and challenging problems
• Experience in deploying production applications and backend services daily
• Data attentiveness and focus on building diversified growth flywheels and user-centric innovations for consumer engineering
• Ability to build product and technology for experts to connect with customers in real-time, provide intelligent insights, and optimize supply and demand for expert engineering
• Knowledge of core systems that drive scale and efficiency, including machine learning solutions and physical inventory management for platform engineering
• Cross-functional work experience in driving acquisition, activation, and retention of consumers, experts, and partners for growth engineering
• Proficiency in building meaningful machine learning solutions for data team
• Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills
• Familiarity with coding, system design, API design, and technical communication for technical interviews
• Understanding of business understanding, culture/values, and collaboration for stakeholder interviews
