About The Position

Assists with carpentry, painting, and general trades work. The apprentice makes progress toward completing the apprenticeship within an appropriate timeframe. Upon satisfactory completion, the apprentice may be eligible for advancement if an open position is available.

Under the guidance of experienced engineers, the role assists with maintaining, painting, and repairing equipment; conducts routine inspections and tests; reads materials to understand equipment operation, systems, and application standards; collaborates with team members to troubleshoot issues; keeps accurate work records; and participates in training to develop technical skills and knowledge.

The role requires the ability to read and follow written directives and document actions taken or follow-up actions as needed. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Requirements

• Able to work from ladders and scaffolding as assigned and not be afraid of heights.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance, painting, and repair of equipment under the guidance of experienced engineers.

• Read and interpret materials to understand equipment operation, systems, or standards of application.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment and systems.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used, time spent, and tasks completed.
• Participate in training programs and courses to develop technical skills and knowledge.
• Assist in carpentry, painting, and general trades work.
• Make progress toward and complete the apprenticeship within an appropriate timeframe.
