Engineering Project Manager
About The Position
An engineering project manager is responsible for team coordination, budget oversight, and ensuring adherence to technical specifications and deadlines throughout a project's lifecycle. This role involves planning and managing all aspects of engineering projects from conceptualization to completion, establishing project objectives, procedures, and performance standards. The manager will develop and manage project budgets and schedules, oversee project resources, and liaise with Management Staff. Key responsibilities include tracking project performance, making necessary corrections, preparing and presenting reports on project progress, and managing risks and resolving project issues. Travel may be required for job-related activities and internal company functions within G3 Industries.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as an Engineering Project Manager
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Degree in Engineering or relevant field
- Strong leadership skills to lead a team of engineers, and other professionals, ensuring they work together effectively towards project goals.
- Technical proficiency, with an understanding of engineering principles, to grasp complex project details and make informed decisions.
- Excellent project management skills to plan, implement, and oversee projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and team members, ensuring all parties are aligned and satisfied.
- Problem-solving abilities to identify and overcome project obstacles or delays effectively and make necessary changes to the project plan if required.
- Financial aptitude to manage project budgets, make cost-effective decisions, and provide accurate financial reports.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards to ensure projects comply with all relevant legal and safety requirements.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once, while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
