About The Position

The Engineering Project Manager oversees multiple New Product Introduction projects involving processes such as metal stamping, plastic molding, laser welding, and extrusion. The role is responsible for delivering projects within the prescribed schedule, scope, and budget, managing them from initiation through production transfer. The position works with a cross-functional team—including executives, department managers, line supervisors, quality and manufacturing engineers, buyers, outside vendors, and the customer’s project team—to meet or exceed customer expectations at planned or improved margins. It may indirectly supervise exempt and/or nonexempt associates and has overall responsibility for each project’s direction, coordination, and evaluation. The role includes travel of less than 10% for customer, supplier, and intra-company site visits.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional teams in executing contract manufacturing projects from design through validation and production launch.
Develop project plans and timelines while adhering to schedule, scope, and budget.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical challenges.
Serve as the primary customer interface for contractual and production matters related to product delivery.
Drive lead processes and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Facilitate clear communication among internal teams, customers, and third-party suppliers.
Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation for projects, and may indirectly supervise exempt and/or nonexempt associates.
Analyze complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation and knowledge of multiple factors.
Anticipate and strategically eliminate blockers and potential risks.
Perform other related duties as required.
Travel less than 10% for customer, supplier, and intra-company site visits.
