About The Position

The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the engineering and design team in the development of custom cabinetry and millwork projects using Microvellum software. This role oversees project workflows, ensures design accuracy, establishes engineering standards, and collaborates with production, estimating, and project management to deliver high-quality, manufacturable solutions on schedule. This role is ideal for someone with both strong technical expertise in Microvellum and the leadership skills to build an efficient engineering department that supports high-quality manufacturing and project delivery. This is a customer centric role while keeping company goals insight.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, CNC manufacturing, cabinet construction, and woodworking processes.
  • Proven abilities to desire and drive growth within the dept. and subsequently the organization.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microvellum in a commercial or custom millwork environment.
  • Ability to lead teams, prioritize multiple projects, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strengths in training others in Engineering and Microvellum use.
  • Abilities in CAPEX suggestions for corporate purchase.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in managing in-house and outsourced employees is a HUGE Plus!
  • Previous leadership or engineering management experience preferred.
  • Innergy ERP experience is a BIG Plus!

Responsibilities

  • Improve engineering processes, workflows, and quality control.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Microvellum engineers and drafters.
  • Manage engineering schedules, workloads, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain Microvellum libraries, standards, and automation.
  • Review shop drawings, CNC data, and production documentation for accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to Microvellum, AutoCAD, CNC programming, & manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and manufacturing teams to ensure projects are engineered for efficient production.
