About The Position

At World View, we strive to be a responsible technology leader in the collection, analysis, and delivery of actionable information gathered by our strategically placed arrays of persistent sensors in the stratosphere. We provide on-demand, scheduled, and historical aerial data and analytics from sensors deployed to the stratosphere with persistent coverage, higher resolution, and increased value over traditional aerial and space imagery sources. We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead execution across the engineering organization. In close partnership with the Chief Engineer and Program Leadership, this role is responsible for delivery planning, team execution, and operational alignment to ensure high-quality flight systems are delivered on schedule and in accordance with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain requirements. This position serves as a critical link between technical authority and program priorities, facilitating alignment, fostering effective cross-functional collaboration, and escalating risks or trade-offs as appropriate to protect delivery, quality, and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience leading engineering teams in aerospace, defense, or other complex hardware-focused environments.
  • Demonstrated capability in execution planning, resource management, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Ability to align technical execution with program priorities, manufacturing readiness, and schedule requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting flight systems or other highly integrated hardware products.
  • Understanding of engineering-to-manufacturing and test transition within a regulated or high-reliability environment.
  • Experience operating effectively within matrixed organizations or shared-responsibility leadership models.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and support engineering teams through clear expectations, coaching, accountability, and an environment in which risks are identified and addressed early.
  • Oversee execution planning, resource allocation, and delivery across research and development activities and active programs, with clear ownership, priorities, and timelines.
  • Translate business and technical objectives into practical execution plans informed by capacity, dependencies, manufacturing readiness, test availability, and supply chain constraints.
  • Partner effectively with Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and technical leadership to resolve trade-offs, improve visibility, and address bottlenecks before they affect program milestones.
  • Establish and maintain operating cadences that improve predictability, reduce unnecessary execution disruption, and support alignment among technical integrity, delivery objectives, and safety requirements.

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
