BAS - Engineering Manager
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering department in Quincy, Massachusetts. This role involves managing and overseeing the engineering department, including the panel shop team. The ideal candidate will supervise and guide the team through goal setting, performance monitoring, employee reviews, and promotions. You will ensure controls designs for projects are delivered on time and efficiently, lead the development of detailed automation data and designs, and assist teams in preparing them for submittals. Responsibilities also include performing and executing take-offs, creating bills of materials, reviewing final submittals, and working directly with clients to manage delivery dates and expectations. You will also provide technical and other related assistance to the engineering team.
Requirements
- Experience as an Engineering Manager or similar position
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the engineering department including the panel shop team
- Supervise, and guide the team through goal setting, performance monitoring, employee reviews and promotions.
- Ensure controls designs for the project are delivered on time and efficiently
- Lead and develop detailed automation data and designs and help teams prepare them for submittals
- Perform and execute take offs
- Create and prepare bill of materials for each customer and project
- Review and examine final submittals before sharing with customer
- Work directly with the client to manage and coordinate delivery dates and expectations
- Assist the engineering team with both technical and other related questions
