About The Position

Horizon3 is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Partner Integrations team, which builds, ships, and maintains first-party integrations for the NodeZero platform. The team’s integrations connect NodeZero findings to security platforms such as Crowdstrike, SentinelOne, Splunk, and ServiceNow. Each integration is treated as a customer-facing product, with an emphasis on frictionless installation, reliability, compatibility as upstream APIs change, and enterprise-level quality. The manager will own engineering execution, team health, and the integration product portfolio, and is expected to grow the team to 6–7 engineers. The role includes setting roadmap priorities, coordinating with the Integrations Platform team on the framework and API contract, managing upstream vendor changes, and establishing release certification and validation. The manager will also partner with Customer Success, Security Research, and the partnerships team to align delivery with customer needs and partner commitments. Horizon3 is a fully remote cybersecurity company. The role may require up to 5% travel. Compensation includes a base salary range of $225,250–$265,000 annually; the role may also be eligible for stock options. The company describes benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance for employees and their families, a flexible vacation policy, and parental leave.

Requirements

  • Experience leading engineering teams of 5–8 people building and shipping third-party integration products in a SaaS or security context.
  • Hands-on familiarity with APIs and data models of enterprise security platforms, such as EDR, SIEM, or ticketing platforms.
  • Track record of shipping integration products that meet enterprise reliability and data fidelity requirements.
  • Experience managing external API dependencies, including rate limits, versioning, deprecations, and ongoing maintenance across multiple vendors.
  • Ability to define and execute a prioritized roadmap balancing customer demand, partner opportunity, and engineering cost.
  • Proficiency in Go or Python sufficient to review and contribute to integration code.
  • Understanding of enterprise authentication patterns such as OAuth 2.0, API keys, SAML, and mutual TLS.
  • Familiarity with webhook delivery, polling, and event-driven architectures for integration data flows.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure such as Lambda, SQS/SNS, and EventBridge, or equivalent serverless infrastructure.
  • Experience normalizing data across disparate security data models, including findings, assets, vulnerabilities, and alerts.

Nice To Haves

  • Cybersecurity background, with direct practitioner or vendor experience in EDR, SIEM, or SOAR platforms.
  • Experience with technology partnership programs such as Crowdstrike Marketplace, Splunk Splunkbase, or ServiceNow Store and their certification requirements.
  • Familiarity with STIX/TAXII or other cybersecurity data exchange standards.
  • Experience building customer-facing integration health dashboards or self-service troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Partner Integrations sub-team, owning engineering execution and team health.
  • Drive the pace, quality, and reliability of delivery across NodeZero’s first-party integration catalog.
  • Own the roadmap for integration products such as Crowdstrike Falcon, SentinelOne Singularity, Splunk Enterprise/Cloud, and ServiceNow; determine priorities and scope.
  • Ensure integrations meet production reliability, versioning, and backward-compatibility expectations.
  • Work with the Integrations Platform team to define the API contract consumed by the integrations.
  • Monitor upstream vendor API changes and deprecations, and manage detection, triage, and compatibility fixes.
  • Build and own a certification process for integration releases, including functional tests, security validation, and partner certification requirements.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Security Research, and the partnerships team to align the roadmap with customer demand and partner commitments.
  • Build and grow a team of engineers focused on reliable integrations.

Benefits

  • Health, vision, and dental insurance for employees and their families.
  • Flexible vacation policy.
  • Generous parental leave.
