About The Position
Collins is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 at its Canton, Massachusetts, office. The internship offers undergraduate civil engineering students experience in highway design, including roadway design and development of highway plans. Work may include construction plans, corridor modeling, roadway profiles, drainage improvements, traffic control plans, estimates, and supporting documents for a variety of projects. The intern will be paired with licensed professional engineers to help create plan sets for construction, with the goal of growing the office’s Civil/Highway group. Relocation is available.
Requirements
- Be a junior or senior working toward a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Blue Beam, or Civil 3D.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF or other PDF editing software.
Responsibilities
- Design roadways and develop highway plans.
