About The Position

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking summer interns to join its Engineering department for the 2027 Summer Internship Program. Interns will support engineering teams with cabin and airframe engineering activities, including design, analysis, and certification of aircraft components. Work may involve using design tools, learning how components are designed and integrated into aircraft, and evaluating stress, flammability, and weight impacts to ensure compliance with commercial aviation standards and regulations. Assignments may support aircraft production or in-service aircraft and may include detailed part modeling and sizing, layout maturation, trade study analysis, weight reduction, certification activities, and in-service support. The role involves developing solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope, applying technical principles while following detailed instructions, and communicating work status and technical issues to supervision. The internship is full-time and onsite in Mobile, Alabama, for the program dates of May 17 through August 6, 2027. Candidates must attend the SWE 2026 Conference in Boston, Massachusetts, and be willing to relocate to Mobile for the internship. A full job description is available to candidates who advance to interviews or upon request.
