About The Position

Ghostworks Marine is seeking an Engineering Intern for a paid, full-time, 13-week summer 2027 internship running from May 24 to August 20, 2027. The intern will support the design, documentation, and testing of composite marine structures for commercial and U.S. Navy customers and own one defined project with deliverables due by week 13. The project will be set by the Engineering Lead before the internship begins and reviewed by that lead. The internship includes weekly one-on-one meetings with the supervisor, HR check-ins at weeks 1, 6, and 13, and a final presentation to Engineering and company leadership. Learning objectives include applying engineering coursework to composite marine design problems, learning how designs progress from CAD models through drawings to production, and delivering a finished, usable project to the Engineering team. The work environment includes office and CAD work, as well as time in the lab and on the shop floor. The intern must complete company safety orientation before accessing the shop floor or lab. Required PPE is provided and must be worn in designated areas. Internship work may involve information subject to U.S. export control regulations, including ITAR. Interns may not photograph, record, post, or share drawings, data, parts, processes, or facility images, including through personal social media or school reports. Academic use of internship work requires written approval from HR and the supervisor. All work products created during the internship belong to Ghostworks Marine. Before starting, the intern must complete a signed offer letter, background check, I-9 verification, and signed confidentiality and IP assignment agreement. Overtime requires advance supervisor approval, and interns are paid for all hours worked, including approved overtime.
