About The Position

Uniquely positioned at the intersection of technology, data science, and healthcare, Verily transforms multimodal health data into insights, models, and actions that make healthcare more personalized, predictive, and precise. As a key member of the Solutions Engineering organization, you will lead an engineering team responsible for delivering customer-facing healthcare solutions that bridge Verily's platform capabilities with the unique needs of strategic customers. Working closely with Product Management, Technical Solutions Engineering, Clinical Informatics, Data Science, and Delivery teams, you will help translate complex customer requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions while ensuring strong engineering quality, operational excellence, and long-term maintainability. We are looking for an Engineering Manager who is passionate about building high-performing engineering teams and delivering impactful customer solutions. In this role, you will lead engineers embedded within cross-functional Solution Delivery Squads, balancing rapid customer execution with the development of reusable platform capabilities. You will drive technical execution, mentor engineers, establish engineering best practices, and foster close collaboration across Product, Engineering, and Commercial organizations to accelerate customer success while protecting the long-term health of the platform.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership and/or people management experience of a team of at least 10 software developers.
  • Proven experience managing software engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
  • Full stack web development experience.
  • Strong expertise in software development methodologies and best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Education or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as GCP or AWS
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing development teams.
