About The Position

Join Indiana American Water as an intern supporting engineering and project delivery for water and wastewater systems. The intern collaborates with engineers and operational staff on water supply plans, asset management plans, and engineering and construction projects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Engineering or Engineering Technology degree program.
• At least one year of completed coursework.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of computer programs, databases, and software.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and administrative abilities.
• Ability to manage time across multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate, seek input, and coordinate with staff.
• Detail-oriented approach to analysis, evaluations, decisions, and recommendations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with GIS technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to engineers and operational staff.
• Observe active construction sites.
• Review project plans and financial documents.
• Work with contractors and design consultants to support team goals.
