About The Position

Plexus is seeking an Engineering Customer Development Manager to meet profitable revenue objectives for assigned Sector/Regional customers and targets by leading efforts in the pursuit of assigned accounts within the Plexus sales process. This role involves developing and maintaining expertise in Plexus engineering services capabilities while understanding the engineering services needs of assigned Sector/Region. Working collaboratively with Business Development Directors, Customer Managers/Directors, Project Directors, and Engineering Solutions site personnel, and under the direction of the Director of Engineering Solutions, the manager will take a leadership role in developing account relationships to create and win Engineering Solutions (PLXS-ENG) business opportunities. The role aligns with the three pillars of engineering business development: Customer Engagement, Sector/Regional Expertise, and PLXS-ENG Services Expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 6 or more years of related experience preferred
  • More than 40% travel required

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new Plexus Customers by winning profitable initial PLXS-ENG engagements and supporting new Plexus Manufacturing (PLXS-MFG) engagements by promoting PD and PC capabilities.
  • Grow/retain existing Plexus customers by winning profitable PLXS-ENG revenue and fulfilling the intent of our “One Plexus” Value Stream.
  • Build/maintain long-term, win-win customer relationships by being a trusted advisor and ensuring PLXS-ENG brand awareness/alignment.
  • Influence/drive the evolution of PLXS-ENG service offerings and sector/region go-to-market models by obtaining Voice of the Customer (VOC), understanding end-market trends, and providing input to prioritize internal “asks”.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and guide to internal Go-to-Market operations partners through the conceptual and strategic selling process for PLXS-ENG opportunities.
