About The Position

The Engineer Supervisor leads property engineering operations, overseeing maintenance and repairs to keep hotel systems operating smoothly, the property in good condition, and guest experiences positive while controlling costs. The role includes leading, training, and scheduling the engineering team; promoting workplace safety through inspections, fire drills, and employee training; and maintaining guest rooms and public spaces to company standards through the Preventative Maintenance program. The supervisor also monitors energy use and spending, works within budgets, promotes conservation, and makes purchasing decisions. The role responds promptly to guestroom requests and serves as an emergency contact.

Requirements

Experience training, supervising, and motivating staff.
Ability to evaluate and spot-check the work of staff and contractors.
Must comply with applicable certification requirements, including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
May be required to work weekends and holidays and be available for emergencies.

Responsibilities

Oversee property maintenance and repairs, ensuring systems operate smoothly and the property meets guest needs while controlling costs.
Train, supervise, motivate, and schedule engineering staff.
Promote workplace safety through inspections, fire drills, and employee training.
Carry out the Preventative Maintenance program for guest rooms and public spaces, maintaining company standards.
Manage energy usage and spending, adhere to budgets, encourage conservation, and make purchasing decisions.
Respond promptly to guestroom requests and serve as an emergency contact.
Evaluate and spot-check the work of staff and contractors.
Maintain regular attendance and high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
Approach interactions with guests and employees attentively, courteously, and with a service-oriented manner.
