About The Position

Apple Services Engineering (ASE) is expanding its Traffic team to China. The team builds performant and reliable networking primitives that help Apple application teams observe, secure, and manage application traffic. Its services, meshes, libraries, proxies, and other primitives support Apple-scale workloads serving hundreds of millions of users and critical Apple businesses. As a Software Engineering Manager on the ASE Traffic team, you will lead engineers designing and delivering traffic solutions. The team will build, deploy, and operate the next generation of traffic mesh, ingress proxy, egress proxy, and border proxy. You will execute the vision for Apple Load Balancer, Apple Transit Gateway, and Apple Traffic Mesh; guide architecture and development practices; own parts of the architecture; and partner with the global ASE Traffic team and teams across Network, Compute, and Security. You will also work closely with program management, product management, and SRE partners. The workplace is described as collaborative and growth-focused, with technical guidance and mentorship. Employees are encouraged to balance social interaction and focused work, use accrued vacation, and maintain work-life balance.
