About The Position

The Engineer II performs skilled maintenance and repair work throughout the hotel, independently resolving technical issues in guest rooms, public spaces, and exterior facilities. The role helps ensure guest satisfaction and reliable operation of indoor and outdoor hotel systems. Duties include repairs and preventive maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other building systems; inspections and room-readiness checks; responding to urgent requests and emergencies; and maintaining engineering workspaces. The position also supports energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

2–4 years of hotel maintenance experience.
Strong technical knowledge of kitchen systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Guest-service awareness and professionalism.
Flexible availability for days, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, and on-call work.

Nice To Haves

Luxury engineering experience preferred.
Technical certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced repairs in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Independently diagnose and resolve issues in guest rooms and hotel facilities.
Ensure guest rooms meet brand standards before occupancy.
Perform preventive maintenance throughout indoor and outdoor hotel areas.
Maintain and repair exterior systems, including lighting, irrigation, courtyards, and pool-area equipment.
Assist in monitoring pool operations, including filtration systems, pumps, and safety equipment; handle chemical treatment only if CPO certified.
Respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies.
Repair or replace fixtures, appliances, furniture, and building components.
Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and outdoor facilities.
Coordinate with housekeeping and the front desk to ensure room readiness.
Maintain clean and organized engineering workspaces.
Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
