Responsible for the structural assessments of repairs for Commercial or Military engine components. This position is part of our Engineering Development Program (EDP), where participants complete three to four rotations to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Experience using computer Finite Element Analysis software such as ANSYS or equivalent.
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the structural assessments of repairs for Commercial or Military engine components.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Product Development (IPD), Structures Engineering Standard Work (ESW), & the Product Design Review process.
  • Coordinate structural analysis requirements for repairs with module centers/Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT's).
  • Work independently on structural analysis solutions when historical solutions are not available or applicable.
