Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Experience with Computer Added Design software such as Unigraphics/NX, or equivalent 3D modeling software.
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Part of a multi-discipline Integrated Product Team [PT] to establish repair design requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the quality requirements of the Original Engineering Manufactured (OEM) parts.
  • Research operating environments and functionality of components, their interactions with mating parts, and develop strategies which will return damaged parts back to service.
  • Create technical documents that will provide engineering requirements for repairs, including a high-level sequence of operations forming the basis for manufacturing operation sheets.
  • Participate in the prototyping of new repairs as needed.
  • Ensure engineering tasks are accomplished on schedule and within budget to the prescribed work scope.
