EDP participants will complete three to four rotations to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering obtained by start date
  • Experience with one or more tools: Teamcenter, Unigraphics NX, ANSYS, and classical methods of analysis
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience
  • Experience with military nozzles and exhaust systems
  • Experience with GD&T ASME Y14.5M-1994 and/or 2018
  • Experience with Design Engineering
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills are highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Developing and sustaining hardware to meet system and module requirements
  • Collaborating with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to address challenges
  • Ensuring adherence to Pratt & Whitney's engineering processes
  • Support design and optimization activities to achieve durability, performance, cost, and weight goals while meeting customer and program requirements
  • Generate designs, accurately and thoroughly document and communicate those designs
  • Provide analytical assessment, design substantiation, solid models, manufacturing & inspection plans, instrumentation, assembly and installation support from detail design through validation
  • Provide design support for validation testing and engineering investigations
