This design engineering position provides the opportunity to work on the full PW engine product line, including the next generation of commercial and military engines. Hardware responsibilities include components found in the compressor, turbine, and bearing compartments. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, aerospace design methods and procedures, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Intern/co-op experience in a program environment related to hardware design and development.
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
  • Experience interacting with internal and external customers
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs of gas turbine hardware including:
  • Responsibility for design configuration, including cost, weight, and producibility requirements.
  • Participation on, or leading, multidisciplinary teams to develop and produce new hardware.
  • Advance gas turbine technology and mechanical design methods.
  • Support design reviews and execute Engineering Standard Work.
  • Provide production, field investigation, and aftermarket technical support.
