This position will serve as an Engineer for Transmission and Substation large pieces of equipment. Prefer to have knowledge of industry standards such as IEEE and ANSI as it pertains to T&S assets. This person will be responsible for following and updating T&S equipment standards as well as providing technical training to field personnel when required. The person will be expected to attend and participate in technical and industrial committees. The person will be able to read/review electric schematics and work with vendors on T&S equipment. The person will also be responsible for evaluating equipment, working with supply and others to determine and approve vendors for T&S equipment. Provides consultation and recommendations to the Company within and to other business units and/or customers as a result of studying company or customer-owned systems, processes, equipment, vehicles or facilities. Provides technical expertise to strategic, legislative and operational decisions. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
