•$180,000 - $200,000•Onsite

About The Position

As an Engagement Manager on Mercor’s Code team, you will sell and deliver enterprise evaluations and post-training data for coding models and agents. Customers include frontier AI labs, AI coding tool companies, and enterprise software organizations seeking to measure and improve model performance on real-world engineering work. You will own each account technically and commercially: running discovery with ML researchers and engineering leaders, scoping custom evaluation and data programs, and coordinating with Mercor’s product, operations, and engineering teams to deliver them. The role carries a revenue target and contributes to growing Mercor’s code business. The position is based in person five days a week in Mercor’s San Francisco, New York City, or London offices.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience as a sales engineer, solutions engineer, solutions architect, or technical account executive at an enterprise B2B software company.
  • Track record of closing and expanding six- and seven-figure enterprise deals with technical buyers.
  • Hands-on coding ability, including reading a pull request, writing a script, and discussing how a model fails on real code.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with researchers and executives.

Nice To Haves

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with how LLMs are trained and evaluated, including SFT, RLHF, or coding benchmarks such as SWE-bench; alternatively, a strong drive to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of AI labs, coding tool companies, and enterprise engineering teams, managing the full sales cycle from the first technical conversation through contract signing and expansion.
  • Conduct technical discovery to understand where customers’ models fall short on real software tasks and develop clear proposals based on those needs.
  • Scope and price enterprise evaluation and post-training data programs, including coding benchmarks, SFT and RLHF datasets, and agentic coding tasks across languages, frameworks, and codebases.
  • Lead technical demonstrations and pilots, and convert pilot results into multi-quarter commitments.
  • Coordinate with product, operations, and engineering teams to recruit software engineering experts and deliver programs to quality and timeline requirements.
  • Forecast pipeline and revenue, and relay customer feedback to Mercor’s product and research teams.
