About The Position

CMC, an Associa company, is hiring a Code Enforcement Specialist for its community association in Odenton, Maryland. The role supports long-term customer satisfaction in community association relationships. Responsibilities vary by designated community and include inspecting properties for maintenance, landscaping, safety, and compliance issues, and accurately recording findings. The hourly pay rate is $20–$21.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of directly related or closely related experience.
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and forms.
• Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, including documentation, safety, required reporting, and regulations.
• Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.
• Knowledge of state or local governmental safety requirements.
• Proficient knowledge of architectural plans and/or drawings.
• Proficient knowledge of conflict resolution techniques.
• Professional communication skills, including phone, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.
• Professional customer service skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player.
• Time management and time-critical prioritization skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Notify responsible parties of code issues in writing, by phone, in person, and electronically.
• Respond to and investigate allegations of code violations, determine whether complaints are valid, and identify appropriate actions to mitigate issues.
• Investigate and enforce property codes within assigned boundaries.
• Schedule and perform systematic property maintenance inspections to maintain or achieve minimum property standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
