Engagement Lead Architect

Hitachi•Dallas, TX

About The Position

The Engagement Lead Architect leads client engagements that move enterprises from AI ambition to agents in production. The role owns the client relationship, architecture direction, and business outcomes while leading a small senior team of architects, engineers, and consultants. Engagements begin with consulting activities—assessment, shaping, and prototyping—and progress to delivery once a use case is proven. The role aligns executive sponsors on goals, success measures, scope, and decision rights; assesses client data, analytics, and AI landscapes; prioritizes agent use cases; and guides prototypes and build-versus-buy decisions. It presents a delivery recommendation with scope, team, plan, and value case. During delivery, it serves as design authority for data, context, and agent architecture; leads delivery governance and value measurement; ensures security and controls are in place before agents interact with business systems; and coaches the team while developing the client relationship.
