About The Position

Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO) is an Integrated Youth Services (IYS) initiative aimed at addressing service gaps in youth mental health and substance use in Ontario. YWHO collaborates with local service providers to offer integrated services for young people aged 12-25, including mental health and substance use support, primary care, education, employment, housing, and social services in youth-friendly spaces. The initiative focuses on rigorous outcome evaluation and co-creation with youth, families, and partners to ensure services meet their needs. YWHO currently operates 32 local hubs across Ontario and a Provincial Office at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), which supports these hubs in areas like implementation, operations, data, youth engagement, equity, and communications.

Requirements

• Experience supporting the Indigenous Wellness Initiatives portfolio.
• Experience collaborating with youth, families, Elders, and Knowledge Keepers.
• Experience working with service providers to support Indigenous youth.
• Experience supporting Indigenous youth and family members with lived/living experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges.
• Experience influencing system transformation initiatives.
• Experience providing guidance and coaching on Indigenous engagement, inclusion, and co-development.
• Experience working with provincial advisors to integrate knowledge into tools and practices.
• Experience overseeing advisory circles or similar groups.

Responsibilities

• Support the Indigenous Wellness Initiatives portfolio at YWHO.
• Collaborate with youth, families, Elders, and Knowledge Keepers as system partners.
• Work with service providers to support Indigenous youth across Ontario.
• Support a team of Indigenous youth and family members with lived/living experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges.
• Influence system transformation initiatives with partners, including Elders and Knowledge Keepers.
• Provide guidance and coaching to support collaborative approaches to apply an Indigenous lens to engagement, inclusion, and co-development.
• Work with provincial advisors to integrate their knowledge and content expertise into evidence-based tools and practices.
• Oversee the activities of the Provincial Indigenous Youth and Family Advisory Circle (PIYFAC).
