About The Position
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists in providing nursing care to a designated patient population in collaboration with other members of the health care team. The Endoscopy Center is a specialized unit where the Endoscopy Tech plays a crucial role in supporting physicians during procedures and ensuring the proper handling and sterilization of equipment.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Prior Endo experience required
- BLS
Nice To Haves
- Endo tech certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Applies principles in adhering to sterile technique
- Assists physician with equipment during procedures
- Handles specimens according to policies and procedures
- Participates in the evaluation of new supplies, equipment and instruments
- Chooses correct method and time frame for high level disinfection and sterilization of equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned
