About The Position
The Endoscopy Tech assists physicians with endoscopic and complex interventional cases and provides appropriate care to Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The role maintains Endoscopy Department supplies and equipment in proper working order and cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy. It also performs clerical duties to support the operation of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy, including assembling and maintaining patient chart materials, maintaining records and files, keeping the workstation orderly and clean, and completing patient charges.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Four years of Endoscopy Tech experience.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of a GI/OR Technology program.
- GTS certification.
- AGTS certification.
Responsibilities
