About The Position
The Endoscopy Tech assists physicians with endoscopic and complex interventional cases and maintains supplies and equipment in proper working order. The role cleans and disinfects equipment according to unit and hospital policy and provides appropriate care to Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The position also performs clerical duties to support the function of Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy, including assembling and maintaining patient chart materials, records, and files; keeping the workstation orderly and clean; and completing patient charges.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Four years of Endoscopy Tech experience required.
- Current AHA BLS certification required upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of a GI/OR Technology program.
- GTS certification.
- AGTS certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist the physician in performing endoscopic and complex interventional cases.
- Maintain Endoscopy Department supplies and equipment in proper working order.
