About The Position

The Endoscopy Tech assists with implementing established plans of care under the direction of an RN and supports physicians and RNs during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The role includes responding to emergencies; setting up procedures; maintaining supplies and equipment; and processing and reprocessing endoscopes. The employee must meet the department’s on-call criteria and is expected to float to other GI Lab locations.

This is a full-time position in Evanston, Illinois. Scheduled hours are 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with an occasional Saturday rotation and an on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
• Basic computer experience.
• Ability to take vital signs and perform CPR.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant, or Medical Assistant is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
