About The Position
Plans, coordinates, and provides assistance to the Department of Anesthesia based on the patient’s age, diagnosis, and physical status. The role supports anesthesia procedures by preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies, assisting with patient-care tasks and emergencies, and performing related duties as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
- BLS.
Responsibilities
- Calibrate anesthesia machines.
- Troubleshoot problems with machines.
- Stock anesthesia supplies.
- Turn over circuits and wipe down machines and lines between surgeries.
- Spike lines.
- Take specimens to the lab.
- Assist in emergencies.
- Set up the rapid infuser.
- Set up for cases in other procedural sites in the hospital.
- Check expiration dates.
- Run blood gases and glucose checks.
- Assist with other tasks as needed.
