About The Position
The Anesthesia Tech prepares appropriate instruments, equipment, and supplies for each type of anesthetic procedure. The role assists the Anesthesiologist or CRNA with insertion of invasive monitoring devices, including arterial lines, CVP, Swan-Ganz, and ICP, as well as with induction and transportation of monitored or high-risk patients. This is a PRN, day-shift position at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- One year of related experience.
- AHA BLS certification required prior to completion of orientation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for anesthetic procedures.
- Assist the Anesthesiologist or CRNA with insertion of invasive monitoring, including arterial lines, CVP, Swan-Ganz, and ICP.
- Assist with induction and transportation of monitored or high-risk patients.
