About The Position
The Emergency Medical Technician renders high-quality, compassionate, and dignified basic life support while transporting patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings. The EMT functions as a member of the health care team in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures and provides care to patients ranging in age from neonatal through geriatric.
Requirements
- Current and valid New Jersey Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification.
- Pennsylvania or New York Department of Health EMT certification or NREMT certification is accepted, but New Jersey certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Current and valid Healthcare Provider–BLS CPR card.
- Obtain PHTLS, ITLS, or TCCC certification within 90 days of hire.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Obtain CEVO certification within 3 months of hire and renew it every 3 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an EMT is preferred.
