About The Position

Redfield Community Memorial Hospital and Clinic is seeking an EMT to provide quality emergency medical services rapidly, safely, and efficiently to patients requesting assistance. The role requires the EMT to live in Redfield or stay in town while on call. The EMT must maintain current certifications or licensure appropriate to their training level, know how to operate the equipment and vehicles used, provide at least BLS-level service, protect patient confidentiality, and work effectively with a partner and outside services. The position involves providing safe, efficient, quality medical care in extreme conditions. Additional duties include completing trip reports, fueling and restocking after runs, and cleaning and disinfecting the ambulance.

Requirements

• Minimum EMT-B certification.
• Must live in Redfield or stay in town when on call.
• Must be able to lift safely at least 70 pounds; sometimes substantially more.
• Must be able to be awakened at any hour and respond quickly and safely.
• Must maintain certifications and/or licensure required for the training level.
• Must be familiar with the equipment used at the applicable level of training.

• Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
