About The Position

WAAS will be offering a blended (online + in-person) class for those wishing to pursue their Emergency Medical Technician certification. The course will start on August 25th and run through December 1st. Learning will primarily take place online with MANDATORY in-person skills lab sessions on TUESDAYS from 5-9:30pm. Patient contacts are an essential part to the course, and students will register for ride-along slots that occur outside of class time. Students are expected to attend all skills lab sessions, log in to MyBRADY a minimum of 3x/week, and submit all required assignments prior to participating in that week's skills lab. This course requires self-starters who can take responsibility for their own learning, as there is a lot of information to cover in a short amount of time. In-person sessions are for skills practice, but students are responsible for learning the material beforehand.

Requirements

• A valid American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider CPR card (which must remain valid for the duration of class).
• Reliable access to the internet and a laptop computer.
• Must be 18 years old by December 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Attend ALL skills lab sessions.
• Login to MyBRADY a minimum of 3x/week.
• Submit all required assignments prior to participating in that week's skills lab.
• Take responsibility for your own learning.
• Complete ride-along slots for patient contacts outside of class time.
