About The Position

McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer for FACC 220 - Law for Architects and Engineers for the Fall 2026 term. This is a 3-credit course with lectures scheduled on Mondays from 05:35 pm to 08:25 pm. The position is located at ENGMC 304 (McConnell Engineering Building 304). Requirements

Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) or equivalent law degree from a Canadian university (Juris Doctor (J.D.); Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B)).
Must have passed the 4-month articling entry course given by l’École du Barreau du Québec or recognized equivalent.
Must be licensed with the Barreau du Québec to practice law in the province of Québec.
Minimum three (3) years’ experience practicing civil law in the province of Québec.
Must be a card-holding member of the Barreau du Québec in good standing for at least the past three years.
Must have taken and passed the Examen du Barreau du Québec.
Must be authorized to work in Canada.
Must be willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based.
Proficiency in English communication, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience teaching FACC 220 – Law for Architects and Engineers.
Previous experience teaching courses recognized by the Barreau du Québec.
Specific experience in cases regarding construction of immovables, professional liability, manufacturer’s liability, and intellectual property.
