About The Position

Emergency Medical Technicians respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and provide patients with high-quality care, treatment, and customer service. The role involves assessing patients, determining necessary care, and delivering emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. EMTs document patient information, condition, and treatment while protecting confidentiality and patient rights. They help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment, operate ambulances in compliance with company safety policies and traffic laws, and work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs. EMTs may also participate in community programs to support the company’s image and build strong community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT license.
• State driver’s license.
• BLS and NREMT.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.

• Use appropriate EMT skills and equipment, including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws governing emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work professionally and collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain the company’s image and establish strong community relations.
