About The Position

Emergency Medical Technicians respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and provide high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. They assess patients, determine appropriate care, and deliver emergency services using suitable medical techniques and equipment. EMTs document patient information, condition, and treatment while protecting confidentiality and patient rights. They help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment, operate ambulances in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws, and work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs. EMTs may also participate in community programs to support the AMR image and build strong community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT license.
• State driver's license.
• BLS and NREMT.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR's image and establish strong community relations.
