Contract EMT-Basic- Indiana - Heartland Ambulance Service
About The Position
Heartland Ambulance Service is hiring contract EMTs for a 13-week travel contract in the Midwest. The role is temporary and involves working on 911-only ambulances for an ambulance service that provides 911 and interfacility transport (IFT) services. Schedules are either 12 hours on and 12 hours off every day for 13 weeks, or 24 hours on and 24 hours off for 13 weeks. Employees work 168 hours per pay period, which is every two weeks. Pay is issued every other Friday as W-2 employment. Housing is provided for the duration of the contract. The employer will assist with obtaining Indiana reciprocity, described as a fast process.
Requirements
- Hold NREMT or certification from a compact state.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Pass a background check.
- Have a clean driving record.
- Hold current CPR certification.
- Have at least 1 year of experience as an EMT.
Responsibilities
- Work on 911-only ambulances.
- Work the assigned 12-hour or 24-hour on/off schedule for the 13-week contract.
- Complete 168 work hours per two-week pay period.
