About The Position

AMR is hiring full-time Dispatchers to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for ambulance and transportation services. The Dispatcher assigns and routes transportation requests and communicates clearly in all situations to support customers and provide quality service and care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Some work experience.
• Organization, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in all situations.

Nice To Haves

• Work experience in dispatch or routing calls in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to calls and emails using established call-handling times and the communication and information management system.
• Schedule, assign, review, and route transportation requests using appropriate methods.
• Document communications according to protocols and processes, and identify and escalate issues as necessary.
• Communicate trip data, including confirmations, routing time, issues, and performance.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and coworkers.
• Provide customer support to providers, facilities, and member representatives.
