About The Position

Easterseals, a national nonprofit, has supported individuals with disabilities for over 50 years. Its Career Pathway Connections program offers person-centered employment services for individuals who are Deaf, Deaf-Blind, or hard of hearing, providing ASL-proficient support, workplace accommodations, and assistive technology to remove employment barriers.

Requirements

• Fluent in ASL
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Adaptable training approach
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field with one year of experience
• AA degree with two years of experience
• High school diploma with three years of experience
• Expertise in hearing loss and workplace needs
• Skills in addressing business requirements and evaluating job performance

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers in overcoming employment barriers, developing skills, and achieving vocational goals through job coaching and employability training.
• Develop and execute personalized employment plans using person-centered strategies.
• Build employer networks and conduct ongoing outreach to promote hiring diversity and program services.
• Offer on-the-job training, support, and counseling related to disability and workplace needs.
• Represent the program at meetings, networking events, and conferences.
