As an Employee Support Coordinator, you will play a critical role in providing on-site, wraparound support services to employees across all three shifts, ensuring equitable access to resources, guidance, and support regardless of work schedule. In this position, you will build relationships with employees through regular visibility and engagement on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift, meeting individually with employees to assess needs, connect them with available resources, and provide coaching and support related to personal and professional challenges. Success in this role requires building trust with employees and community partners, maintaining a strong presence across the organization, and ensuring that support services are accessible to all employees, including those working non-traditional hours. You will also help foster a culture of safety, well-being, and belonging by facilitating access to external programs, supporting employee resource groups, and developing internal initiatives that holistically support employees both at work and in their personal lives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in a role providing direct support to individuals, such as social work, counseling, or employee assistance.
  • Experience and knowledge of existing community support services and the ability to navigate government and community programs.
  • Ability to think creatively and actively problem solve.
  • Ability to leverage various resources to meet employee needs.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees across all shifts, providing support for personal and professional challenges through guidance, referrals, resources, and advocacy while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain a visible, consistent presence across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including routine onsite engagement during overnight hours to build trusted relationships, ensure equitable access to resources, and stay connected to employee needs across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and service providers to expand resources available to Rhino employees.
  • Design, coordinate, and evaluate programs that support employee well-being, including transportation assistance, housing support, financial wellness, community engagement, recreation, and other identified needs.
  • Provide immediate support and referrals in crisis situations, such as mental health emergencies, housing instability, and other urgent needs. This may include accompanying employees to appointments or community resources.
  • Facilitate individual and group support conversations for employees experiencing personal challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee interactions and resource utilization, using data to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and improve support offerings while ensuring compliance with privacy requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly reports to Leadership that summarize resource utilization, emerging employee needs, program outcomes, and recommendations for ongoing support initiatives.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops on topics such as mental health first aid, stress management, financial wellness, and accessing community resources.
  • Support employee-led resource groups, including Rhinos for Recovery, by coordinating activities, connecting participants with resources, and fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging.
  • Partner with the People & Culture team, supervisors and managers to address employee concerns, strengthen workplace culture, and align support services with organizational goals.
  • Regularly and proactively communicate with employees about available resources and programs using various channels, including Paylocity, the information wall, weekly scrolling slides, emails, and in-person meetings.
  • Effectively utilize translation services to communicate with employees who have limited English proficiency, ensuring all employees have access to necessary information and resources.
  • Promote awareness and utilization of available resources through regular communication, outreach, and education across all shifts and locations.
