About The Position

The Employee Benefits Account Manager at Frost Insurance Agency is the main point of contact for employee benefits customers and acts as a champion of their insurance experience. The role manages policy renewal processes for assigned accounts, supports quote preparation and client consultations, and uses collaboration, analytical skills, and continuous improvement to deliver high-quality service. Account managers also help clients understand plan administration and employer-level compliance responsibilities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in insurance, healthcare, or human resources, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of related business experience.
• Texas General Lines Agent License: Life, Accident, Health and HMO, or ability to attain it within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to manage accounts with revenue up to $500,000 and average annualized commissions per customer up to $10,000.
• Organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Gather census requirements for renewal processes and quote preparation for assigned accounts.
• Review and analyze client and policy information to prepare Requests for Proposals.
• Present findings and recommendations to clients, Producers, and prospective clients.
• Review client certificates of coverage and other policy materials for accuracy, escalating issues to the insurance carrier.
• Research and resolve participant-related matters.
• Communicate customer plan administration documentation requirements and help customers comply with applicable government regulations, including ACA and HIPAA.
• Maintain knowledge of healthcare changes and Federal and State regulations affecting employee benefits, and counsel clients on employer-level compliance responsibilities.
• Oversee internal invoicing processes.
• Conduct client consultations and enrollment meetings on-site or at customers’ places of business.
