About The Position
Lubbock Small Animal Emergency Clinic is seeking a compassionate, driven Emergency Associate Veterinarian to manage critical and urgent care cases alongside a committed, well-trained veterinary team. Emergency-care experience is not required; mentorship and ongoing training are available for veterinarians who want to develop their emergency medicine skills. Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
- Current DEA License or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- Active veterinary state license.
- USDA accreditation or ability to obtain it upon hire.

- Experience in emergency care; however, it is not required, and mentorship and training are provided.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Perform physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and imaging to assess patient conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medical and surgical interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team and support staff to achieve good patient outcomes.
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and recommendations clearly and compassionately to pet owners.
- Document medical procedures and treatments and maintain accurate records.
- Stay current with advances in emergency medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Work swing and overnight shifts.
