About The Position

Animal Emergency of Pasco is seeking a full-time or part-time Emergency Veterinarian for its small animal hospital in New Port Richey, Florida. The role offers a varied caseload that includes urgent and critical cases, exotics, and local wildlife. The hospital works closely with the local police department and is equipped with advanced diagnostics and technology, including a blood bank, ultrasound, dental imaging, and oxygen cages. The veterinarian will practice alongside skilled technicians and an experienced team in a collaborative, supportive environment. Mentorship is available from the Partner DVM, including for new graduates and veterinarians transitioning into emergency medicine. The position offers flexible scheduling, medical autonomy, and future ownership opportunities.

Requirements

DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school.
Active veterinary state license, or ability to obtain one.
DEA license, or ability to obtain one upon hire.
Passion for emergency medicine.
Compassionate, team-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
Proficiency in general medicine and surgery.

Responsibilities
