About The Position

Small Animal Emergency Services in Vass, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced, compassionate Emergency Veterinarian to provide high-quality emergency and urgent care for dogs and cats. The veterinarian will lead case triage, perform emergency procedures, and collaborate with experienced technicians to support excellent client communication and patient outcomes. Requirements

• DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school.
• Current North Carolina veterinary license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Strong procedural skills, including intubation, venipuncture, urinary catheterization, and basic emergency surgery.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and client-service orientation.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Emergency medicine experience is preferred.
• Motivated new graduates with an emergency skillset are considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and urgent medical and surgical care for small animal patients.
• Triage and stabilize critical patients.
• Perform emergency surgeries and diagnostics.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about patient status, prognosis, and treatment options.
• Collaborate with technicians and support staff, and mentor colleagues as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols and standards.
