About The Position

BluePearl’s EmERge Program is a one-year emergency veterinarian training program designed to develop skilled and confident emergency veterinarians able to provide life-saving care to pets in crisis. Participants join a team from day one and receive hands-on training, lectures, mentoring, and real-world experience. The program welcomes recent graduates as well as experienced veterinary professionals interested in pursuing emergency veterinary medicine. The program comprises 14 weeks of accelerated boot camp and initial training, 20 weeks of hands-on immersive training guided by an experienced clinician mentor, and 18 weeks of experiential training with continued mentoring. The first two weeks are virtual asynchronous learning, followed by a two-week in-person cohort boot camp featuring hands-on labs, emergency case scenarios, and practical skills. The remaining 10 weeks of the initial phase are spent at the participant’s primary hospital, rotating through emergency and critical care and other specialties. A one-year work commitment after training is required, for a total commitment of two years. Compensation is $4,615.38 bi-weekly (equivalent to $120,000 annually) during weeks 1–34. Market-rate compensation begins during weeks 35–52 for participants ready to start experiential training by week 37.
